Following the destruction of their hometown, the Scoobies scattered across the globe to locate and train newly-activated Slayers. Simultaneously, in Los Angeles, Angel and his team began working at the L.A. branch of the demonic law firm Wolfram & Hart. Believing he had been corrupted by the firm, Buffy and her friends lost trust in him; when he contacted them for help containing the psychotic Slayer Dana, Buffy directed Andrew to L.A. to apprehend her, but refused to leave her in Angel's care afterwards, and even sent a sizable squad of Slayers to ensure that Andrew accompanied her back out of the city.[/font]

A new Watcher's Council was built in London, England, which Rupert Giles was put in charge of. There were also several new Watchers being trained as well as new Slayers, Witches, and any other ally of The Slayer Organization. Buffy and most of the gang went back to The United States, where they hoped to find more allies.
The thing about evil is, that it is everywhere. Especially where you least expect it. Everything brought them back to California, not far from where Sunnydale used to be. To San Fransisco, CA. It had been a little over a year since the destruction of Sunnydale, since they had saved and changed the world forever. Angel had reopened Angel Investigations and was trying to rebuild what they had lost when LA was sucked into hell. Of course he kept tabs on Buffy. Buffy had no idea about Spike being resurrected and everyone made a great effort not to let her know, especially Angel. They would meet some interesting people in San Fransisco. This was just the beginning.[/font]

In San Fransisco:
The sisters are visited by a white lighter from the future: Chris Perry, who informs them that a new threat, the Titans, have been awakened. The Titans who are looking for white lighters come after Paige and Leo discovers their plan. Chris tries to convince the sisters to come up with a plan to vanquish the titans but they feel discouraged without Leo who, Piper realizes, is becoming an elder. Piper seems strangely unaffected by Leo's disappearance, so Paige casts a spell which backfires causing her to lose her memory. Phoebe discovers she is gaining the power of empathy and Chris gives the sisters Valkyrie pendants so they can go into Valhalla (warrior heaven). Paige and Phoebe must find Piper who without her memory has joined the warriors of Valhalla. Phoebe must also deal with her new power of empathy.[/font]
Meanwhile, Buffy and the gang arrive in San Fransisco. They have heard about The Charmed Ones and about all the evil that is going on in San Fransisco, just as Angel has. Buffy and the gang are getting settled in, in a house they have rented. They have also heard rumors about a young Slayer, who was just called that previous year in the effect of the spell Willow cast, and have came to help her.[/font]
